Grassroots sport already runs on people doing the hard work. Someone books the pitch, chases the kit, drives the minibus, stands in the rain for ninety minutes and makes sure every child gets a game.

Then the match ends, and the second shift starts. Someone still has to tell the parents who weren't there what happened, post the score for the club, make something worth sharing, remember who has had less time on the pitch, and keep the season's record straight. Usually that someone is the same volunteer, late on a Sunday night.

Match Report GO exists to take the second shift away. Log the match once, on the touchline, and the report, the live score, the stats and the graphics come from what you logged. The team looks professionally run, without needing professional resources.

Where it started

Match Report GO is a rebuild of Precision Pass, a grassroots football app whose last update was in 2019. The idea behind it was sound: coaches wanted a record of their matches and something worth sharing with families. But the app had not kept pace with how teams now organise themselves, and it only covered football.

So we rebuilt it. Match Report GO now supports football, rugby union, netball and hockey, and it is built around the match report: the thing families actually read, and the thing coaches rarely have time to write.

Match Report GO is built by a small UK team and owned by Jamie Bylett. If you have a question, a problem or an idea, you can contact us or suggest a feature.

What we care about

Volunteers' time

Every feature should save a volunteer time, not add a job. Parents can reply to availability from an email link without an app or account, reminders go out automatically, and scoring takes a tap. If something makes a coach's week longer, we have got it wrong.

Junior privacy

Children's details are handled carefully by default. Junior mode is on automatically for under-18 age groups: first names only in public, no child named for a negative moment, junior public pages kept out of search engines, and parents in charge of consent. Facts checked

A report is only worth sharing if it is right. The score, scorers and minutes are checked against the match before anyone sees a report, and if a draft gets a fact wrong, you get a plain report built from the facts instead of a mistake.

The Free plan is free forever and meant to be genuinely useful on its own: fixtures, availability, squad, line-ups, live scoring and a live page, share graphics, season results and stats, and a set number of match reports each month. Pro and Club add more for teams that want it, and a trial is offered when you reach for a Pro feature, never forced at sign-up. See pricing.

The core application and database are hosted on our own UK server in London.

What we are not

Match Report GO is not a league-management platform. It does not collect subs or payments, plan training drills or hold medical records. It does one job well: helping a team prepare for, capture, tell and remember its matches.
