Share the match with families while keeping children's details protected

Sharing a junior match should be good news for everyone involved, and never a worry for a parent. Match Report GO is built with that in mind. Junior mode is on automatically for under-18 age groups, and it changes what appears in public so you can share results without thinking twice about each post.

First names only in public

In junior mode, public pages, match reports and share graphics show first names only. A report reads "Ava scored twice and Leo set up the second", never a child's full name.

No child named for a negative moment

Children are never named for negative moments. In junior mode, reports, pages and graphics do not name a child for:

• cards or other disciplinary moments
• fouls and penalties conceded
• own goals
• missed penalties or missed kicks
• offsides
• injuries

The match still happened as it happened, and the score is still correct. The report simply does not single out a child for a mistake or a knock.

Junior pages kept out of search engines

Junior teams' public pages are not indexed by search engines. Families you share a link with can open the live score page or a published report, but the page is not there to be found by searching a child's name.

Parents in charge

• In junior teams, parents are invited, not children.
• A parent gives consent for their child.
• Using a child's photo needs a parent's permission, separately from that consent, and the permission can be withdrawn.
• No contact details appear on public pages.

Minutes stay with staff

Fair playing time tracks each player's time on the pitch so coaches can share it out properly. The detailed minute comparisons are for staff only. Parents do not see a league table of minutes.

Questions coaches ask

Do I have to switch junior mode on?

No. Junior mode is on automatically for under-18 age groups.

Can a parent withdraw photo permission later?

Yes. Photo use needs a parent's permission, and that permission can be withdrawn.

Will the report hide a red card or an own goal completely?

The score stays accurate, so an own goal still counts. What changes is that in junior mode no child is named for a negative moment in reports, public pages or graphics.

Will junior team pages show up in search results?

No. Junior teams' public pages are not indexed by search engines. They also show first names only, with no contact details.
