Know everyone is getting a fair share of the match while it is still being played

Most coaches of junior teams want every child to get a proper game, and most have finished a match realising one player barely came on. Match Report GO tracks time on the pitch as you go and tells you, in plain English, whether anyone is falling behind, while there is still time to fix it.

Time on pitch, as it happens

Every substitution you log during live scoring updates each player's time on the pitch. You do not need a notebook or a stopwatch. At a glance you see a single line such as:

Everyone is on track for a fair share.

or, when someone is slipping behind:

Ava needs to go on soon for a fair share.

That line is the point. You can act on it between phases of play without doing sums on the touchline.

What "on track" means

A player is on track while they can still reach 85% of an equal share of the outfield minutes. An equal share is the outfield time available in the match divided across the squad. Allowing 85% rather than exactly 100% leaves room for the realities of a match: an injury, a late arrival, a tactical change near the end.

When a player can no longer reach that mark without coming on, the app says so by name, so you can bring them on at the next chance.

Detail for staff, not a league table for parents

The detailed minute comparisons are for coaching staff only. Parents do not see a table ranking children by minutes played. Families can follow the match on the live score page and read the report; how you managed the rotation stays with the people responsible for it.

A substitution plan before kick-off

On Pro, the rotation planner builds a substitution plan across the match's periods, so you arrive with a plan that gives everyone fair minutes rather than working it out as you go. It needs rolling substitutions turned on for the match. You can still change your mind on the day; the live line keeps you honest either way.

Questions coaches ask

Does it work for quarters as well as halves?

Yes. Time on pitch follows your sport's period structure, so it works for football and rugby halves and for netball and hockey quarters.

Can parents see how many minutes their child played?

Parents do not see the detailed minute comparisons. Those are for staff only, so there is no public league table of minutes.

Is the rotation planner on the free plan?

Why 85% and not an exact equal share?

Exact equality rarely survives a real match. The 85% line gives you room for injuries and late arrivals while still flagging anyone who is genuinely missing out.
